Never Buy Purple Shampoo Again!

No purple shampoo? No problem. Keeping blonde hair brass and yellow-free is a tireless effort. The easiest way to keep it in shape is by using a toning shampoo or conditioner. There are tons of products on the market these days, but a lot of people complain that toning shampoos can dry out hair and are expensive to boot. A new product from OGX allows you to tone your hair using your own shampoo and conditioner! OGX Blonde Enhance + Purple Toning Drops (I may get a commission from this link) are concentrated purple drops that you mix into the product to create a custom toning product for hair. Just dispense your shampoo or conditioner into your hand, add 3 to 5 drops and mix! Use it just with shampoo, just conditioner or both! You can easily customize the level of toning. I found the less of drops you use, the more “blue” your mix will be. That works great for me because I prefer a blue shampoo to purple. If you don’t know what your color is, read my article on finding your undertones. ...

Furlesse patches help relax forehead lines

I am no stranger to using patches to eliminate forehead wrinkles. Although it is slower process than Botox, it is a lot cheaper and no needles. The patches work by reinforcing the weak facial muscles back to their pre-wrinkle status. Furlesse patches are a welcome change to their predecessor, Frownies. Don't get me wrong, Frownies work, but they have a few negatives. They are not easy to apply, even harder to remove and they can be itchy, especially in dry climates. Furlesse patches are made of a clear, non-latex, self-adhesive plastic. They are easy to apply and remove.  You can even wear them around the house without being embarrassed to answer the door. I actually prefer to wear them during the day, (normal use is at night) letting gravity do more of the work. It took me about one month of daily use to get rid of my wrinkles and then you need to wear them less frequent for maintenance. The cost is $12.95 for a 30 day supply. You can get them at drugstore.com , amazon.com, bea...

Winky Lux Has Lip Glosses That Taste Like Applebee's Wings

National Chicken Wing Day and National Lipstick Day were both last week and Winky Lux has some leftovers. To celebrate days in the chicken wing and lipstick worlds, Applebee's partnered with Winky Lux on a collection of wing sauce-inspired lip glosses. The "Saucy Gloss" collection has four different shades, each based on an Applebee's wing sauce: Get Me Hot Buffalo: Coral with hot buffalo spice flavor. Sweet Chile Kiss: Deep red with golden chile. Be My Honey Pepper: Honey-spiced gloss with shimmering flecks with hints of BBQ, honey and pepper.  Honey BBQ-T: Maroon with sweet Asian wing sauce flavors.  Each gloss is $18 or you can get the whole set for $65.  Applebee's made a video with four models wearing the lip glosses to first dates at Applebee's encouraging singles to get out there after Covid. "Applebee’s is known for first dates and wings – which are one of our most popular menu items,” said Applebee’s Chief Marketing Officer Joel Yashinsky. “So...

The most expensive nail polish you won't regret buying

For those of us who don't get regular manicures, great nail polish is a must. I wandered upon my new favorite in Nordstrom while browsing Deborah Lippmann's products. "Happy Birthday" is the coolest polish I have ever seen. It is made up of red, yellow, blue, orange, green purple, silver and gold mini confetti in a clear base. It almost looks like someone threw a bunch of confetti and it landed on your nails, hence the name "Happy Birthday" .     I just had to have it. Even at $18. Now, you have to consider that this is a premium brand that contains no toluene, formaldehyde or DBP. It is sold out   online and Nordstrom says they can barely keep it in stock. The one negative - the sales lady told me it takes a while to get it off.  Deborah Lippmann is a manicurist that started mixing up polishes for her celebrity clients like Mariah Carey, Sarah Jessica Parker and Cher.  She also has a line of hand and foot treatments, her "Rich Girl" hand and ...
