The Beauty Guru Moved to Maryland

I have been looking for  a replacement of my MAC Vanilla eye shadow when I came upon this one at the grocery store. I had a $2 off coupon, so this ended up costing about four dollars. It is supposed to last 24 hours, but didn't wear it that long to find out. It has the consistency of a powder you accidentally got wet. It works well with or without eye primer and is very close to MAC vanilla. This was a great find. Unfortunately, they will probably discontinue the color.

I am not a mascara fan. It always end up under my eyes, gets too goopy and is hard to take off. I love L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes . It is NOT waterproof, but that is okay with me. It has an internal edge that removes excess mascara and the wand is very flexible and allows the bristles to get into your lashes. Your lashes appear thicker, longer and conditioned. The only strange thing is the scent, it reminds me of nasal spray. It runs about $7.99.

A great bargain foundation for around $9 I am not a big fan of liquid foundations, but as I age I find that I need a little more coverage. That being, said, I don't want to spend $30 or more on something I probably won't use everyday. I saw Sara mention L'oreal Paris' True Match Super Blendable  liquid makeup on KLG and Hoda. She claims that this is the foundation used by their makeup artists. I used L'oreal's True Match Blendable Compact makeup and didn't like it, possibly because it was to heavy. The key to L'oreal True Match is picking your shade. It is best to go to a drugstore and use their shade finder. You take this plastic swatch strip and place it over the under side of your wrist. Your shade is the color that fades away next your skin. You can also go on www.lorealparisusa.com and use their color match database.
